Join the A to B Actively Challenge

If you live in the Whitehill & Bordon area sign up for the challenge that is good for the environment. With the BetterPoints app your sustainable journeys can earn you rewards every time you take the bus, walk, wheel, run or cycle.

Earning BetterPoints is easy! Download the BetterPoints app from the App Store or Google Play. You can record your trips automatically or by turning GPS tracking on and off to earn BetterPoints. You can turn your points into high street shopping vouchers or donate them to your favourite charity!

The challenge is all about encouraging people to get around sustainably and help create a cleaner, greener county by travelling in ways that benefit the environment, health and your community, as well as helping the local economy too!

Watch a short video here or follow these instructions to get you started:

1. Download the BetterPoints app from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
2. To register for BetterPoints tap “Join Now” in the app and fill out the form.
3. You will be automatically added to the A to B Actively challenge if you live in or near Whitehill & Bordon. There will be a welcome message about this on your timeline in the app.
4. When you are ready to start an activity, for example go for a walk or cycle to the shops tap the Play ▶️ button in the top right corner of the app. 
5. You can record your journeys via Automatic (always on) or Manual Tracking (when you want to record a specific activity.)
6. Start earning BetterPoints and BetterTickets!
7. If you live outside the area but are commuting in to Whitehill & Bordon and would like to participate please contact customer care for a code to add you to the challenge: customercare@betterpoints.uk

How can we help you to stay motivated?

With BetterPoints you can see your points accumulate in the app. We will also share news of what is going on in your area to help you to stay active. We've got regular prize draws, plus we'll have campaigns, competitions and giveaways throughout the challenge. 

How much information do I need to share to sign up?

When you first register to use the BetterPoints app, it will ask you to provide personal details to get you started. This includes your name, email address, year of birth, location, and postcode. We also ask you to create a secure password for accessing the BetterPoints app and protecting your account. You will be asked to turn on auto-tracking: all GPS data is anonymised, aggregated and only used for reporting so that your local Council can improve travel planning for everyone.
